Steps to reproduce:

1. open settings (1)
2. switch input and output devices (2, 3)
3. hit Save (4)

4. open settings again (5)
5. observe result (6, 7)

Please take a look at this short demonstration. I can't get a clean loop. I get double-sounds on the beginning of the next bar. The latency is not a problem since I can tweak that. It's only about the "loop-leak".

A simple local api would be rly good so one could attach pedals or something else to control the system to the program.

• set length of recording to 8
• record over full length
• play back

in the second playback audio is played back at double speed, finally ending its playback after the length of 4.
