Promotion Engine Trail V2105

In the Promotion Engine Trail, create a custom promotion with conditions and actions that are not available out of the box.

The Promotion Engine Trail walks you through defining a custom set of "facts" for the Promotion Engine, as well as creating custom conditions and actions.

The trail covers the following:
Introducing new facts to the Promotion Engine in the form of a new Rule-Aware Object (RAO), including implementing a new RAO action.

Creating custom conditions and actions that you can use to create promotions in the Rule Builder interface.

Creating promotion rules using the new components and testing them on the storefront.

Trail Scenario
When customers write a review for a product, they are added to a special user group. This special user group is then given an exclusive promotion. In the trail, you create two promotions:
Custom Promotion: When customers write a product review, they are added to a special user group, reviewedProductsCustomerGroup.

Out-of-the-box Promotion: If a customer is in the reviewedProductsCustomerGroup, the customer gets 25% off the order.

Prerequisites
For this trail, use a standard B2C Accelerator storefront with electronics store sample data. For instructions, see Installing SAP Commerce Using Installer Recipes.
