dothole's Issues

ClientConn errors

ClientConn can be closed/timeout by upstream, causing a crash when trying to write something to the connection

Slow

project is currently slow, with high latency on requests. these should be minimised

Reuse upstreamConn

Creating too many is against the advise in https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc7858#section-3.4

Multiple queries in one packet doesnt work

so dothole does seem to ask upstream for the rest of the queries, but dothole doesnt send those back to the client

Problems with cache implementation

When the server is replying from cache to the command shown in the testing section of the readme, dig outputs the following warning:
;; WARNING: recursion requested but not available
it also shows the Query time as 0 msec

if there are mutliple questions or answers in a packet, cache will only reply to one
cache also doesnt send any ns or extra resource requests
