Steam Deck is a handheld gaming computer developed by Valve Corporation in cooperation with Advanced Micro Devices (AMD). It allows users to play their entire Steam game library but can be modified by the user to run other gaming storefronts or applications. The Steam Deck started shipping in February 2022.

Steam Deck OLED Specs

CPU: 6nm AMP APU Zen 2 4C/8T, 2.4-3.5GHz.

GPU: 8 CUs (RDNA 2), 1.6GHz (1.6 TFlops).

APU power: 4-15W.

RAM: 16 GB LPDDR5 on-board RAM (6400 MT/s quad 32-bit channels).

Operating system: SteamOS 3.5 based on ArchLinux.

Storage:

Steam Deck 512GB NVMe SSD ($549 USD).
Steam Deck 1TB NVMe SSD ($649 USD).
Both include high-speed microSD card slot.

Display: 1280x800 HDR OLED.

Display size: 7.4” diagonal.

MAME emulator and gamesets

When adding Roms or change the settings to show empty folders, MAME does not show up on the game wheel.

KWaylandServer

Kwayland server has been merged with kwin so its entry should be replace with kwin or removed.

Audio on original Arch Linux?

Anyone knows how to enable sound in original Arch Linux? By default i see 4 disconnected AMD Rembrandt cards. No chip from Cirrus.

Steam Linux gamedata linking script

I've recently made a script which links useful paths from inside the proton directory of a game to a folder in your home for easy access.

Parsec: add config variable

Parsec needs the command line arg: --env=LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=radeonsi
otherwise will only work with software decode.
Have yet to find a way to get H.265 decode working, but I think best to update the Parsec info that this variable should be added, as software decode makes it almost unusable.

I've been using it on my steam deck for a few months and I haven't had any problems so far, feel like it should be mentioned at the very least

Unnecessary step

Hi, the section on installing Flatpak is simply not needed, it's setup out of the box.

Flatpak / Discover repos.

I have been trying to find out as much info as I can on different repos to add, and ways to add more resources and programs to the current method we have to install apps in desktop mode. I got AUR packages via konsole to kind of install, but i still get build() errors. I even grabbed Yay to help with install, but it is not resolving dependancies for what ever reason.

I found one repo to add to discover, but its minor all things considered. Does anyone have any repo's / remotes that we can add in to flapak / disoscver?
