A framework to create electronic badges in MakeCode Arcade

Configuration

Use the blocks in the badge namespace to configure your information in the badge.

badge.setName("Cortana")
badge.setCompany("MakeCode")
badge.setSocial("TWITTER/LINKEDIN/GITHUB")
badge.start()

Conference configuration

If you are planning to use this badge for a conference, we recommend that you create a new project and add this extension as a dependency. Once the badge is conference, you can share your extension with the conference goers.

You can configure the name of the conference or draw a logo image.

badge.setLogo("MAMAMA", 2)

Additional boot sequence can be registered. For example, this project https://github.com/microsoft/pxt-microsoft-boot-sequence generates the Microsoft boot sequence.

You can specify a full conference program (in JavaScript only) as well.

party mode

Menu options for what to display when it's light or dark out (neopixels can light up, can be in party mode, etc.).

This repo is missing important files

There are important files that Microsoft projects should all have that are not present in this repository. A pull request has been opened to add the missing file(s). When the pr is merged this issue will be closed automatically.

Microsoft teams can learn more about this effort and share feedback within the open source guidance available internally.

configure step goal

For the step counter, configure how many steps are the goal per day / use, while in use the "step" icon is red (not enough steps) ... yellow (getting there!) and green (you hit your steps, good work!).

flip orientation

Flip orientation of display when lifting up badge which is on lanyard... when user looks down, flips up badge to look at, flip the orientation to make it easy to read the badge and not requiring the twist-and-view to read.

Hey Peli,

I'm going to add use of this extension to the Adafruit Learn Guide already done for making a badge that I did a week ago. I imported the URL and it was available in MakeCode. I set the board to PyPortal.
Here is my code

I have some issues:

Using Download throws an error (no message) and will not load.
I saved it and then uploaded it. MakeCode Arcade states there are errors. I click on fix and it says they are unfixable.

Maybe a problem with my code or is this extension under construction?

github profile support

In addition to the linkedin QR code, might be fun for future builds of badge to have a QR code for the github repo and/or profile page.
