microbox / etcd Goto Github PK

hey when i do the following command

docker run --rm -it -p 4001:4001 -p 7001:7001 -v /var/etcd/:/data microbox/etcd:latest --help

i get

Code: System error

Message: [/usr/bin/tar -cf /mnt/Data/Docker/tmp/99ac3785e4b51645ea700cb6a7fbc1c5f22dd0c5febfdc7892136ed786ea78db752561213/_tmp.tar -C /mnt/Data/Docker/devicemapper/mnt/99ac3785e4b51645ea700cb6a7fbc1c5f22dd0c5febfdc7892136ed786ea78db/rootfs/tmp .] failed: /usr/bin/tar: /mnt/Data/Docker/devicemapper/mnt/99ac3785e4b51645ea700cb6a7fbc1c5f22dd0c5febfdc7892136ed786ea78db/rootfs/tmp: Cannot open: No such file or directory
/usr/bin/tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
: exit status 2

any ideas to fix this?

im running docker 1.6.0
fedora linux as host OS

Just to let you know that we had a container (microbox/etcd 0.4.9) running and it got compromised.
If you want I have the image in a tar file for further analysis.

Don't know if this is related to etcd or even busybox.

When i try to run:
docker run --rm -it -p 4001:4001 -p 7001:7001 -v /var/etcd/:/data microbox/etcd:latest

Environment:
Linux ubuntu 3.16.0-30-generic #40~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 15 17:43:14 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Docker version:
Docker version 1.5.0, build a8a31ef

I am not sure if I am using this for the right purpose, but when I try to start this container in -d mode, it immediately quits with following log..

$ docker run -d -p 4001:4001 -p 7001:7001 --name etcd1 -v `pwd`/data/:/data microbox/etcd
$ docker logs -f etcd1
[etcd] May 15 19:33:22.317 CRITICAL  | raft.Server: Name cannot be blank

Am I missing something?
