Nfld is tree cities usa city. could met requirements better. Mika and Daniel have since joined the city and are working on this. Nfld has climate action plan which has lofty goals (carbon neutral 2040, solar and renewable production up to 10% in 3 years) Urban forest is part of CAP, and hirer part time forester (budget limitations).

Goal is for GS to help quantify where we are and where we are going. Add x number of trees per year. Maintenance is an issue. Private property. Some dollars to match for native plant plantings (trees are not obvious, but included). Tree survey done on some public property survey. they do have EAB grant from state.

Its a bit difficult to read the map attribution, date, and link to the project page. Could we add some CSS formatting to the background color white and somewhat opaque?

• explain it's a tool for enhancement and preservation of the tree canopy; then go on to explain how maintenance is part of both those (watering, mostly); focus on preservation is that the tool shows where we are doing well too - we should be able to talk about that and decision-makers should be able to use that information to advocate for sensitive and nature-based designs to protect the canopy. Include something in the storymap

• BC about action today impact tomorrow; growing trees/kids; lifecycle generational; make ftg the equity story so it doesn't have to be here

Some tracts are larger than cities (look at Afton area). In these cases, what should a report look like? Is there a way to make it more obvious?
