This app will interface with a Monkeyboard and provides a control and feedback interface for the user.
The Monkeyboard communicates via USB serial and so I used the specifcation from the manufacturer to write a simple API interface for the board (com.freshollie.monkeyboard.keystoneradio.radio).
The app is designed to act as if it is a normal music player as so will act accordingly, for example audio focus will be follow a mediaplayer notification is provided.
The monkeyboard does not transmit audio to the device, so the user will need to mix this audio with the tablet audio externally.
I wrote this application to be compatible with another one of my custom written applications (http://github.com/freshollie/AndroidHeadunitController) and so input can be turned on for this app in the setting.
I designed this app for use in my car, as so the interface has been designed to work in a car.
