Error trying to export DS3 animations

Hi! First of all, thanks for this masterpiece, it is very helpful.
I unpacked DS3 files with UXM and opened c0000.anibnd.dcx, everything was working fine, but when i tried to export skeleton and animations it gave me this error

Set animation name as invalid characters

The system interprets emoji as variations of the following characters, “� “, additionally, upon editing and saving the name again, more characters are generated. To reproduce see the following steps: Go to edit, set animation name, paste invalid text in box, press enter, go to edit, set animation name. The system still functions as usual, this is a cosmetic issue.

Set animation name and cancel

The following steps: Go to edit, set animation name, and hit the x to leave. This leaves the popup on the screen, obscuring the screen. The x should close the popup.

Adjust combo viewer window position/click loop while playing animation

The animation plays, and stops when the window or loop checkbox is clicked. Steps to repeat: Navigate to tools, select combo viewer, play combo, click window and drag/click loop box. Consider allowing the functionality to adjust the window while playing the animation. This allows you to see the TAE events in the timeline. The loop checkbox should be clickable or grayed out as the animation plays. Pressing the loop should not pause the animation.

Interact with DSAS windows through another application/window

The DSAS window is able to be interacted with using the mouse through error messages or other applications. To reproduce see the following steps: Open up any DSAS window, (entity, toolbox, or scene explorer), place a DSAS error message, or any other application so it is visually obscuring DSAS, interact with the DSAS window using the mouse through the obscuring application. To avoid user confusion DSAS should not be interactable when visually obscured.

DSAS Fails to Handle the Case of DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED

An unhandled exception is thrown when DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED occurs. In my case, it was because I left DSAS open during graphics driver updating. Occurs on DSAS 4.9.7.

(ds1/ptde) Game doesn't actually chain anim referrals/imports

In game, if you have an anim refer to another anim that refers to ANOTHER anim, it will not refer the second time and will attempt to use the animation for the first referral only.

In DSAnimStudio, it shows the anim and event info from the last referral in a chain.

Elden Ring problem

I updated everything, even bought Shadow of the Erdtree to check, clean unpack with UXM again and whatnot, nothing, can't even load one file without DSAnimStudio crashing witha a report asking to abort or ignore... :/

New DLC weapon Animations also don't play

The animations from the dlc weapons also don't play even when i am able to open a file, is there anything i am missing in settings? the character model just stands in T pose.

Force Refresh doesn't appear to work.

I was messing around with the player roll speed in c0000.anibnd in DS1 PTDE. Any changes I make work properly when closing the game and starting it again, but trying to force refresh/refresh on save doesn't seem to actually update anything.

Some question and maybe wish list

Anyway to remove texts on viewport? Like "R WPN MDL 0 Animation: NONE" that shows up when viewing a player character, those texts eat up half of my viewport space. And my maximum viewport box size is 536x402; Anyway to increase it? If there is none right now, is it possible to add one in future build?

Also, this message comes up whenever I want to import the c0000.anibnd.dcx file.
Oodle compression library was automatically copied from game directory to editor's '/lib' directory and Sekiro files will load.

Editing Demon's Souls animations

I was trying to edit some parameters of the animations relating to rolls to see if I could change the Iframes and other aspects.
Editing C0000.anibnd.dcx

However, regardless of what I do, even nothing, once I save the file with DS.ANIM.Studio.v4.9.3 and then I enter the game, I realize that all the animations are like "null", as if they no longer had parameters of any kind:

For example, the animations cannot be interrupted until they end up 100%, the shield has no more frames perripare the blows etc ...

So I can't edit Demon's Souls' animations

[Feature Request] Screenshot capture

It would be really fantastic to be able to screen grab the current camera (with an alpha channel) without background or any ui overlays, doing it manually using the print screen button, there doesn't seem to be a way to remove all ui components, sfx gizmos or physics shapes. The requirement is for using the grabs in artwork. thanks for all the work on this project it is incredible!

Modify the bullet and attack moves

Modding Sekiro-Isshin's attack moves In DSAnimStudio, once I modify any hkx file and save it and test it, all of the visual effect of isshin's attacks (lightning, dragon slash, flying dust when swinging the spear) are gone, vanished, like it never exist. What can I do to solve the problem ? I totally got no idea why the sfx are all gone.

DS anim studio 3.0.5 crash when loading bin c3021 (giant from ds3)

the last builts (3.0.4 and 3.0.5. maybe others but not tested) of DSanimation studio crash when loading the vanilla really big giant slave from ds3 (c3021.anibnd.dcx)
using older versions works fine (tested in 2.4.5)

in log says

4.9.3(Latest) Won’t Open

Sorry if this is dumb, but the latest version just won’t open. I click on the application, and nothing happens- even when I check the task manager, it never shows up. I meet the system requirements and everything, so I’m honestly not sure what’s up. Let me know if you need more information. Is anyone else having this problem?

Saving anything and then loading that file always leads to a crash

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open any .anibnd from Dark Souls PTDE
  2. "Save as" and select any of file types.
  3. Open the just saved file.

Result:
This error pops up. App is stuck on "Opening ANIBND..." Further attempts to open any other file do nothing until the app is closed.

Reproducible: Always.

Note that my NET version is 4.8.04084, not 4.7.2. Windows does not seem to allow uninstalling or downgrading the newer version by normal means, so I can't test if it works on 4.7.2.

Open chr files through non acceptable path and then use open recently

Invalid path triggers the message “loading character x…” that never progresses, the recent file loads in while the frozen loading message obscures the screen, the view port remains interact-able while the animation timeline does not. DSAS should either prevent users from loading in additional files via recent files or allow users to load in additional files while other files are uploading via file, open. To reproduce see the following steps: File, open, open invalid path for chr files, defocus error message, file, recent files, select valid path.

Interact with DSAS while error message is active

There is full functionality of the program while the error message is active. Seen by triggering an error message and focusing on the DSAS window. DSAS should prevent users from interacting with it if an error message is active.

How to use?

I tried to download and compile this project without success. I have the framework updated but then I have this errors

Then I tried downloading a build from another topic here. I can run the DS Anim Studio but I really don't know where I can find these .anibnd files.

I think that's a lack of information in how to use the tool, as what we have to download is a lot of codes to compile. An executable to download and some more information about who to use would be amazing to new users.

How to set it up?

I've tried searching online for a guide on how to set this up (for Dark Souls 3, specifically) but couldn't find anything.

As you've probably guessed I have no idea what I'm doing, but I eventually figured out the .bdt and .bhd data files had to be decrypted(?) and did so, but I'm still not sure what DS Anim Studio hooks onto out of these? Or am I looking in entirely the wrong place?

This is probably a weird question
When untick "Show Cubemap As Skybox" in viewport config, the viewport background will go gray color; is there anyway to change the color?
To be more specific, I want a way to change viewport background color to pure color (like pure pink, no gradient multiple colors), I'm making gif animation by screen capture each unit frame one by one and piece them together, without a way to change background color can become a problem when apply transparency, part of unit can accidentally disappear if the unit color palette shares the same color as background one.
I know that this is not related to what this project trying to be but want to ask anyway. (at the least maybe can you point me which source file to edit, I'd be very appreciated)

Sekiro after saving some attacks wont have TAE events only animation

Some special attacks wont work properly after I just save the model for some reason it wont trigger any sounds . events. bullets and i wonder why... This happens with some already existing attacks. If i restore the original model all works fine... so icant add new TAE events or attacks because of that. Also for some reason CHAR model is stuck in T STRANCE in ANIMSTUDIO and animations wont load.
