I started with the tutorial from thinkster and then upgraded the application from Angular 1 to Angular 2, using the official upgrade guide from Angular. In order to learn how to properly upgrade my Angular 1 applications to the newest Angular 2 version which is an entirely new framework , you can find this guide in https://angular.io/docs/ts/latest/guide/upgrade.html

The goal of the thinkster tutorial is to guide you through the creation of a Reddit/Hacker News clone using the MEAN stack. By completing this tutorial, you will gain a basic understanding of the MEAN stack including building a REST interface with Express.js on top of Node.js and using that interface to perform CRUD operations on a database via an AngularJS frontend.
