Weighted metrics

Requires to assess whether the graph is weighted or not before inferring node model. Also need to reflect this in graph information.

[import through URL] trying to import an invalid URL results in console error + infinite loading

How to reproduce this issue:

go to the tab "from URL" il the import tab
enter an URL which points to anything else than a valid and accessible gexf file (e.g. https://twitter.com, https://invalid-gexf.gexf, ...)
click on fetch

This results in an infinite loading and an error in the console, and requires refreshing the page.

Instead, an error message (even generic for all error usecases "the file could not be loaded") could be displayed below the input during 5 seconds.

Add a way (slider?) to adjust the size of all nodes at once

With small networks with nodes having very similar sizes, nodes appear all very small which is not very convenien to read. Having for instance a slider to adjust the global scale of the nodes sizes would be nice

For very large graphs, to make the ForceAtlas2 computation more fluid and visualization more clean, add the possibility to hide links.

uploading non-supported file is not prohibited

Uploading non-supported files (i.e. xml or csv) make the app crash while it could be just rejected.

Should weighted degree be dynamic relative to chosen visual variable for edge size?

It is convenient to keep our previous settings from a previous graph, but the layouts options should be reset at least, and it looks like visual options are still selected although not really taken into account?

When the attribute's name is type and we have only two colors, the two colors are very close, although this is quite a usual case whenever we want to do a bipartite graph, maybe add some "salt" to the seed for i want hue?

Fix the fishiness of extents

This should probably be taken from default values being found in size, and add a dummy attribute if this one is not found.

Node search

Gexf exports : should size and color be encoded in gexf file ?

If I load a gexf file with no viz attributes, spatialize it and tune it then re-export it in gexf, currently only x and y are encoded in an export. For a matter of consistency and practicality should size and color be also exported in gexf ?
