I'm a researcher and experimentalist passionate about leveraging software engineering to enhance people's lives. Currently based at Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Germany, I focus on teaching, mentoring, and driving project initiatives.

My research journey spans pragmatic, hands-on projects covering software engineering, human-computer interaction, crowdsourcing, and conversational AI. I've been involved in interdisciplinary projects collaborating with experts in medicine, engineering, and psychology.

• PAGAnInI: Currently developing a route training system for enabling people with intellectual disabilities to reach their preferred destinations independently.
• Gymcentral: Developed a tablet-based virtual gym facilitating online group exercising for older adults, supporting numerous clinical trials.
• Collegamenti: Explored solutions addressing social isolation in nursing homes and trust issues between caregivers and families.
• Conversational Web: Investigating how advancements in natural language processing improve web accessibility for visually impaired and elderly users.

📚 Academic Contributions
I've supervised and engaged students in research projects, co-advised numerous theses, mentored Ph.D. students and early-stage researchers, and contributed significantly to academic activities focusing on IT for Social Good.

🎓 Teaching Experience
My teaching involvement spans several years as a teaching assistant in Software Engineering, guest lecturing on human-centered design and chatbots, lecturer in advanced interactive systems, and organizing courses focused on designing for vulnerable populations.
