aws_dot_tools's Introduction

AWS DOT Tools <http://github.com/mbabineau/aws_dot_tools> is a script suite for generating DOT-format graphs.

Requirements:
- Two Python packages must be installed:
  - Boto: http://code.google.com/p/boto/ - interface for Amazon Web Services
  - GvGen: http://software.inl.fr/trac/wiki/GvGen - class to generate DOT files
- Boto must be configured (AWS key ID and secret key in boto.cfg)

Rendering DOT graphs:
- Web-based tool: http://graph.gafol.net/
- Mac tools:
  - GraphViz (free): http://www.pixelglow.com/graphviz/
  - OmniGraffle: http://www.omnigroup.com/applications/OmniGraffle/
