Enhanced Support for Repository URLs with Nested Structures

Some Git repository URLs do not adhere to the traditional host/user/repo format. This is especially prevalent on platforms like GitLab, where repositories can be nested within subgroups, leading to URLs with more complex structures.

For example, a GitLab repository with subgroups might have the URL: https://gitlab.com/group/subgroup/project

In such instances, the script struggles to accurately construct the target path for the cloned repository, as it only accounts for a depth of three segments (host/user/repo).

Would it be feasible to modify the script to dynamically parse the URL, capturing all segments after the domain to build the directory path more flexibly?
