Setup

• Download .NET 4.7.2 if you don't have it already
• Download the latest Rbx2Source.exe file from the github page.
• Alternatively, download the latest build artifact from the last commit.
• If you're having issues, try running the Cache Clearer. If that doesn't fix anything, create a github issue.

Building Instructions

• Clone the github repository.
• Clone the Dependency repository as well, in the same directory that you cloned Rbx2Source in
• Restore NuGet Packages for Both repositories
• Build within Visual Studio Community 2022 (Debug / Release)
• Some users have experienced issues building versions of VS 2022 other than community.

Known Issues

• Having layered clothing on your avatar will cause the compilier to error out. Layered clothing is not a planned feature at the moment.

every time i try to open up the application i get this error "unable to cast object of type 'system.int32' to type 'system.string"

Distorted compiled hat

The captain squid head (part of a package) comes out very distorted if compiled on a character's head and is just invisble when compiled by itself

"Blockhead" head for avatar can't assemble

I had the same issue with DerpzDeNugget. Everything will generate but it stops at generating the head part. Just wanted to know if this was fixed for the Roundy head and not for the Blockhead. Either way, I'd like a fix for both of them. Thanks

ERROR: This User Does Not Exist!

Hello, May I report a bug in your program?
It appears that every time I try and enter My, And my only's username, It fails to do so. Saying "ERROR: This User Does Not Exist!" And not working at all. Yet I tried others... And worked! Somehow, My username and... Some others, Do not work.

Please, Fix this bug. I am making a really big Garry's Mod Pack and I can't do anything untill it's sorted.

It Wont Load My Character

I Changed My Characters Look And Then It Said I Didn't Exist.

I've tried so many things but this problem doesn't solve.
I have Garry mod and a source film maker, and I have tried to steam it in some way.
I hope this problem will be solved soon.

this is just weird, i don't know why some assets won't load. it makes thing quite odd and somewhat nsfw.

This program no longer works.

Everytime i try to enter an existing username, it will spit out this error, making this unusable.
The accessories wont work either.

it says that is possible to convert avatars/accessories on tf2 but is there an actual way for me to see it in game

Can't Go In Rbx2

I can't go in to Rbx to animate my Sfm Roblox Characters it says "No source engine games where fond on this PC!

i have used this before and it works just fine
and now its broken??? i don't know why.
also, the version is v2.52

"Roundy" Head not working || Input string was not in a correct format.

The "Roundy" Face on Roblox fails to work and pops up with the error "Input string was not in a correct format." Any way to fix this? Heres a screenshot of the error:

PS: I mean for the avatar section. If the avatar selected uses it, It fails to compile.

The UGC item loads normally as a standalone accessory but not with players.

Textures are not right

the textures on the pal hair appear greenish instead of the normal brown look.

User doesn't exist even if it does.

This is annoying, im trying to export my roblox character but it says it doesn't exist, even if im not banned and my username is correct, can you fix this, please? (Does not affect every roblox character, however, but the main and my alts are affected, and many others.)

The buffer variable should be defined outside the for loop, and it should read instCount*8 bytes.

Invalid AssetId and Texture Compiling Issue

It doesn't want to cache id's when trying to compile the model as well.

it sometimes also fails to compile texture's making them look green.

Unable to find gameinfo.txt

Even if i have that file in garry's mod file what i gotta do? I don't get any errors except that one. Is there a way to fix it?

so, i tried porting my friend's robloxian into a gmod ragdoll, however whenever i compile the model, and press the view button, it says unable to find gameinfo.txt. i have steam open, and downloaded rbx2source's new version. idk what to do?

RBXSource.Master.Zip Being a severe recording virus

The RBXSource.Master.Zip Is being blocked by all 3 default anti viruses and is claimed as a recording virus I have downloaded this 3 times in different days and times and still same result maybe check on your project and remove those virus because it can lead to potential hate. thanks -erix

Textures render incorrectly

I'm having an issue where the textures of my Roblox avatar didn't compile properly when I compiled it. It did successfully compile, but when I looked at it in Garry's Mod, the textures didn't look right. The hat and hair loaded correctly, but the actual character is just black with a brown thick line on it. It was an R15 avatar with Robloxian 2.0 package. Same thing happened compiling user MachRider94. The only successful compiles were Awesomelkeyou and Vuk_Time. Can you fix this?

i was doing compling a my roblox avatar to source engine but i have gmod latest version but i didnt see "the game to compile for Garry mod" only i see the game to compile for team fortress 2 (my english is bad maybe)

Compiles Don't Show on Garry's Mod

Found an odd issue with Garry's Mod no longer reading the program's compiled models. I have tried the manual "addons" trick, but it still did not appear in the spawn menu either. Instead, I had to compile it for a different Source game (HL2, in this case) and check from there. It works, but why it doesn't show for Garry's Mod assets or addons confuses me.

Some UGC hats textures will break.

example like this, it happens to hats that have outlines and stuff.
