mkpimage is a tool used to sign U-Boot SPL binary for SoCFPGA platform.

This tool was created after Altera's tool. The only reason it exists is because Altera's tool is done in Java and has hardcoded path to its JRE... This makes it pretty useless as it's really difficult to integrate into an automatic build system.

Which forces you to download anh install Altera's IDE which you may not want if you don't care about Quartus (tool to work with the FPGA).

mkpimage's Issues

Make fails with "GOPATH is undefined"

Testing under Ubuntu 16.10, Steps to reproduce:

$ sudo apt install golang
$ git clone https://github.com/maximeh/mkpimage
$ cd mkpimage
$ make
Makefile:37: *** GOPATH is undefined.  Stop.

Could you please add an explanation to the README file?

constant 4294967295 overflows int

Hi,
I just tried to build it via build.sh and i got this error.
./mkpimage.go:100: constant 4294967295 overflows int
./mkpimage.go:101: constant 4294967295 overflows int
install: cannot stat `mkpimage': No such file or directory

I dont know Go language but I checked it and it is in function
func computeCRCChecksum(checksum_data []byte) uint32{

Machine is Xubuntu 12.04
go version go1.1.1 linux/386
