Actually there is no handling for the stylesheets, so each style property is edited inside the code.
The goal would be to only add css classes from code and then apply all the style properties form a CSS stylesheet.

Actually there is no data change listener, so each time the layoutChartChildren method is executed, the old chart children are simply removed and the new ones are redrawn (even if there was no change in the data).

The goal would be to implement a data change listener, in order to create each ring slice just once, and update only its values inside the layoutChartChidren() method.

Maybe it would be better to implement an inner class for the Data, having the following fields:

    /**
    * The node containing the label for this slice.
    */
    private Text textNode = new Text();

    /**
     * Default color index for this slice.
     */
    private int defaultColorIndex;

and so on...
