I saw this on some else's layout (don't remember where). the idea is that each hand types half of all the numbers in a symmetrical way:

• 1 left pinky
• 2 and 3 left ring finger
• 4 and 5 left middle and index finger
• then two spots for the accents and ß
• 6 right index finger
• 7 middle finger
• 8 and 9 ring finger
• 0 pinky

Digits are still an area where I make lots of typing mistakes, so this might really help. In the present layout 6 is indeed hard to reach. Of course, whatever we put in that place (accents or ß tbd) will be hard to reach, too, but since digits are often typed together it makes sense to have them be in similar positions, because the hand's movement actually influences each other.

Also consider putting ß between ö and z and moving +* into the number row instead!

Parenthesis () will stay on middle and ring finger, so they will be above 7 and 8 then.
Consider changing position of = and ? because they often cause typos for me. Possibly reuse old position of / on digit line, because I don't use that any more. Likewise I might put and ´ on different keys because the current position on third and fourth layer is too hard to type given how often I need because of Markdown being so fashionable now.

On the other hand, I might not optimize much for Windows any more if I go back to Linux as main OS soon....
