Hello, my name is Matthew Peveler. I like to build things.

I currently work as a software engineer at PopSQL. (we're hiring!)

I got my PhD in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, working in the Cognitive and Immersive Systems Lab under Dr. Hui Su and Rensselaer Aritificial Intelligence and Reasoning Lab under Dr. Selmer Bringsjord.

sc2scenetracker's Issues

Create several tabs within each category

The watch tab should have secondary tabs for streams (twitch) and then stuff like Day9 (since he's fun to watch).

The news tab should have stuff like news from GosuGamers and TeamLiquid.

Probably introduce a third tab perhaps that just shows rankings of players?

Fourth tab is settings and should have built in sections for settings and stuff idk. probably fine as it is right now.

Favorite streams

Allow users to "favorite a stream" which would just mean the stream gets put first in the list if it's live and in the top 15 streams for the game at that time. Useful when there's a particular stream we always gravitate to but appears say 4th at best due to viewership numbers. (LiquidTaeja has more viewers than zlfreebird, but latter has actual commentary so should always be more important to some class of viewers, etc.)

Would want to change color of favorite streams as well slightly to "bold" them and draw eye more than normal streams.

Pretty much all streams on TL are on twitch, so I can use it to fill in race info for some streams (as not all on twitch are on TL). Need to check to make sure that this is true that non are not on twitch.

Load only relevant section

Related to #16, only need to make web calls for the section currently being looked at (and then result will be written to HTML, so still making only one call). Will allow less impact for users that only use one section regularly and other sections periodically (as I expect people to mainly use stream list the most, and news infrequently).

right now they're not fully centered vertically as well as having too much whitespace around the twitch and TL logos compared to the settings image

Come up with better name

Starcraft Stream Tracker kind of makes it sound like it does less than it does. Maybe something like Starcraft 2 Tracker? Starcraft 2 Scene Tracker?

Allow turning off certain sections

Turning off a section wouldn't load that particular resource. So I can make it so that I only want to see streams, so I disable news, Day9, etc. so I'll only see the Watch/Stream and Settings tabs then.

display stream status on hover over link

add in error message for when twitch api fails to return anything

Occasionally the twitch API won't return anything so when that happens, we should alert the user in some way instead of just having it be blank and look like the extension is at fault.
