Stax Demo

Application Description

This is a prototype demo application created in the second half of 2021 that allows a user to scan a product in their home and compare the parent company of the products manufacturer to products created by other companies whos company mission and actions more closely align with a users personal values.

Application Prerequisites

1. Node.js
2. Expo SDK
3. Xcode iOS Device Simulator / Expo Go Mobile applicaiton

Installation

1. Open application and run "npm install" in your terminal
2. Run expo start in your terminal to open the web server
3. Scan the QR code on your mobile iOS device to open the application, or open the application through the Xcode iOS simulator

Usage

1. Determine your personal values by going through the "value picker"
2. View a list of your selected values and reorder your values to your liking using drag and drop
3. Scan a product barcode to pull up information about that product and their manufacturer / parent company
4. Compare product with similar companies that more closely align with your personal values
