But it was relatively easy to solve, also, below is my way to have it set up to work with Quicklisp, perhaps someone will find this useful:

Add file $HOME/.config/common-lisp/source-registry.conf unless it already exists with the following content:

(:source-registry
;; Where you installed quicklisp, :home' means $HOME env (:tree (:home "quicklisp/quicklisp/"))variable ;; Where you clonedcl-fann'
(:tree (:home "Projects/cl-fann/"))
:inherit-configuration)

Quicklisp will take care of the system's dependencies.

The above setup is for Linux, unfortunately, I don't know how to do that on other systems.
