questie-wotlk's Issues

The query of the server doesn't work

Issue description

When I open Questie, it shows me a lot of quests I've already done. When I enter the chat command "/questie query" Questie executes a query. I get the messages "Query complete." and "Populating complete." but nothing changes on the map. It still keeps showing the quests I've already completed.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Find a zone, where Questie shows quests you have already completed.
  2. Close the map
  3. Type the chat command "/questie query"
  4. Open the map
  5. Go to the zone you've found before
  6. Check if the completed Quest still apears on the map

What is the expected result?

After the query of the server the quests should be marked as completed by questie and markers from the map should be removed.

What is the actual result?

After the query no observable change happens

Additional details / screenshots

I play on Chromiecraft and I am not sure if it's a questie issue or a server issue.

Questie shows Scryer Quests when you joined the Aldor

Issue description

I've joined the Aldor and marked the quest for joining the Aldor as completed. Questie still shows the Quest for joining the Scryer and also every Scryer quest. I am not sure it it's a bug, because technically I didn't finish those quests yet. But as I don't have the reputation to do those quests, they probably shouldn't be displayed or there should at least be an option to toggle faction quests off, if you lack the reputation.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Finish either "Allegiance to the Aldor" or "Allegiance to the Scryer"
  2. Look at your map to see the quests for the opposite faction

What is the expected result?

Quests for the opposite faction should be hidden

What is the actual result?

Quests for the opposite faction are shown on the map

Unable to open the quest log.

Issue description

Unable to open the quest log.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Install Questie.
  2. Attempt to open the quest log.

What's the expected result?

-The quest log opens.

What's the actual result?

  • The quest log does not open.

Additional details / screenshot

  • I assume this has something to do with the zone map being shown in addition to the quest log.

Quest icons not positioned correctly and not showing tooltip in the world map

Issue description

When the "Quest Objectives" side bar is shown in the world map, the quest icons (!) are not positioned correctly and they are not showing their tooltip on mouse over.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Go to a map with active quests / quest objectives
  2. Open world map
  3. Toggle "Show Quest Objectives" in the bottom right of the world map UI to show/hide the quest objective side bar

What is the expected result?

Enabling the "Show Quest Objectives" option reduces the size of the world map.
The expected behaviour would be for the quest icons to scale with the map size, and for the tooltips to show on mouse over.

What is the actual result?

Quest icons stay in their original position.
Mouse-over tooltip no longer works.

No response

No icons displayed on the zone map/world map.

Issue description

No icons are displayed on the zone map.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Install Questie.
  2. Open the zone map.

What's the expected result?

  • Icons for quests should be displayed, showing quest hubs and quests not yet accepted.

What's the actual result?

  • No icons are displayed, outside of what World of Warcraft normally prrovides.

Character quest progression is not currently working.

Issue description

Previously completed quests are not marked as completed when you enable Questie for the first time.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Complete any quest on the character.
  2. Turn the quest in.
  3. Enable Questie.

What's the expected result?

  • The quest should disappear from the minimap/world map without having to manually mark it as completed.

What's the actual result?

  • The quest appears as a !, indicating it can be picked up when it has already been completed.

Additional details / screenshot

  • I believe this has something to do with importing quests when you initially join with Questie enabled. Once a quest has been completed, it will disappear, but previous quests are not accounted for. Works fine if you make a brand new character and Questie can keep track of it from the beginning, but presents an issue on characters with playtime on them already.

Lua Error when 'Rotate Minimap' is enabled.

Issue description

Astrolabe related lua error in response to rotating the minimap icons.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Install Questie
  2. Enable Minimap Rotation

What is the expected result?

The minimap will continue to function as normal with intended Questie behavior.

What is the actual result?

A continuous lua error.

Additional details / screenshots

This is most likely related to the rotation of the map and attempting to update the location of Questie icons. I believe the API call for character rotation changed between Bc and WotLK.

The game crashes when logging into a high-level character (80).

Issue description

Hello, translate into English:
I downloaded the clean client of the wowcircle enUS server, installed only Questie, and when I enter the game world on an 80 lvl character, the game shuts down within one second. The only solution is to end the task. On characters level 1-45, it functions only in the "small" map window; in the large map, it displays points incorrectly.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Install Questie
  2. Enter the game world with a level 80 character.

What is the expected result?

The game should not crash.
I allow for minor freezes initially when entering the game world.

What is the actual result?

When entering the game world on a level 80 character, the game shuts down after one second.
On the full-screen map, the quest markers are displayed incorrectly.

Error when opening quest dialogue.

Issue description

Occasionally, an error will appear when opening a quest dialogue.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. When out questing, open a number of quests. Occasionally, one will throw an error. I was able to isolate this issue at least twice when making a new Human character and progressing through the starter zone.

What is the expected result?

No error will be thrown and Questie will function normally.

What is the actual result?

An error will be thrown. The error seems only to appear the first time a quest dialogue is shown.

Only Features database information up to Burning Crusade.

Issue description

The Questie WotLK database only has quest, npc, object, event, and zone information up to the Burning Crusade Expansion.

Steps to reproduce the issue

  1. Attempt to view or complete a quest added or changed in WotLK.

What is the expected result?

Questie will handle the quest correctly and successfully.

What is the actual result?

Questie will display incorrect information, if any at all. Questie may also throw an error about the quest not existing within it's database.
