damnvid's Issues

Keyboard shortcuts

DamnVid needs keyboard shortcuts. This bug is here to list them all.

Global shortcuts seem to be supported by wxPython (cf RegisterHotKey in
class wx.Window:
http://wxpython.org/docs/api/wx.Window-class.html#RegisterHotKey), thus
DamnVid should also make its shortcuts global (optionally).

Shortcuts:
Start/Stop the conversion (Toggle, global, shortcut = ?)
Raise/minimize main window. (Toggle, global, shortcut = ?) The minimization
might make DamnVid go to the tray instead, if the user wants it to.
Add current clipboard content to video list. (Global, shortcut = ?) Only
relevant if the user did not let DamnVid poll the clipboard automatically.
Rename video in list (shortcut = F2)
Delete video in list (shortcut = Del, done!)
Move video up/down (shortcut = Possibly Alt-Up, Alt-Down)

The splashscreen creates an error with multiple virtual desktops on Vista

What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Apparently having the splashscreen enabled causes a problem on Vista
Virtual Desktops.
2. When trying to send the DamnVid's window on another desktop, it
duplicates on the wanted desktop and stays on the original one.
3. The best solution is to deactivate the splashscreen, and then everything
goes back to normal.

This issue is just in case someone experienced the same bug...

Cannot convert video from Wat.tv module using "All-free video" profile

In the 1.0.2 version of DamnVid (it'll be the same in the 1.0.3
apparently), there's a little problem when you try converting a video to
"All-free video" profile.
DamnVid can't download and convert under this profile, but it doesn't
really creates any crash or huge bug ; just select another profile.

iPhone 3GS preset

DamnVid still has an old iPod video preset. The iPhone, iPhone 3G, and more
recently the iPhone 3GS have shown up, with faster, more capable hardware,
and a higher-resolution display. Thus, DamnVid should get a new profile for
iPhone 3GS.

- The video resolution should be either 480x320 (native iPhone resolution)
or 1280x720 (720p), as the iPhone 3GS should be powerful enough to play them.
- The video codec should be H264, which Apple likes
- The file format should be MP4, as with all Apple media formats
- Audio should be AAC as Apple also likes it, stereo, 128 kbps or more
The rest is still to be determined.

3.Game trailer.com, plus grave, il ne copie pas dans la liste et quand on

Customization

Everyone may have discover I have a lot of ideas (when you can't do
anything else stay on what you can do)...
I thought about being able to customize DamnVid, I don't know by changing
the color or the shape of the progress bar or the background by a picture...
I posted that so anyone with a (more) original idea may share it...
