Composites Maki icons with a map marker and returns an SVG.

Install

npm install @mapbox/makiwich --save

Usage

var makiwich = require('@mapbox/makiwich');
var mapnik = require('mapnik');

makiwich.generateMarker({
    tint: '#454545',
    symbol: 'zoo', // Valid Maki v2.1.0 icon
    size: 'l' // `s` or `l`
}, (err, svg) => {
    if (err) throw err;

    // Use mapnik to convert the SVG to a PNG and save it
    var s = new mapnik.Image.fromSVGBytesSync(new Buffer(svg), { scale: 2 });

makiwich's Issues

3 symbols return the pin without the corresponding icon

For the following symbols,

• dog-park
• grocery
• karaoke

when I do below operation

var makiwich = require('@mapbox/makiwich');
var mapnik = require('mapnik');

makiwich({

    symbol: 'dog-park', // Valid Maki v2.1.0 icon
    size: 'l' // `s` or `l`
}, (err, svg) => {
    if (err) throw err;

    // Use mapnik to convert the SVG to a PNG and save it
    var s = new mapnik.Image.fromSVGBytesSync(new Buffer(svg), { scale: 2 });
    s.premultiplySync();
    s.saveSync(`dog-park.png`);
});

It does not return the pin with icon but only the pin, e.g

Environment:

• OS: Ubuntu 16.04 64 bits
• Node version: LTS 6.12.0,
• npm package @mapbox/makiwich: version 0.0.7
• npm package mapnik: version 3.6.2

Test Makiwich with Node 14
