ASCA+ with numeric variables

Suppose le jeu de données suivant:

y <- matrix(runif(100), 10)
x <- data.frame(discrete = factor(rep(letters[1:2], 5)),
                numeric = 1:10)

Modeliser la variable discrète fonctionne nickel:

lmwList <- list(design = x,
                outcomes = y,
                formula = ~ 1 + discrete)
resLMM <- lmwModelMatrix(lmwList)
resEM <- lmwEffectMatrices(resLMM)
resEM$varPercentagesPlot

Par contre lorsque j'ajoute une variable continue, le pourcentage de variabilité expliquée ne s'additione pas jusque 100%

lmwList <- list(design = x,
                outcomes = y,
                formula = ~ 1 + discrete + numeric)
resLMM <- lmwModelMatrix(lmwList)
resEM <- lmwEffectMatrices(resLMM)
resEM$varPercentagesPlot

La somme est +/- 65%. Je sais qu'ASCA+ est conçu à la base pour des variable catégorielles. Puisque le pourcentage de variance est calculé sur base des résidus, ASCA+ devrait aussi fonctionner avec des variables numériques non?
