1. Use "sense" style overview of homescreens

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The background overview should drop out and only leave the editing mode

sorry for lack of details. after coming back out of an app, the phone
orientation got stuck in landscape. the app drawer icon was on the right, and
all of the icons had changed shape a bit like they were rotated. everything
had the proper orientation so it could be read, but it was clearly laid out and

I would like to suggest that the default action for “Swipe Down” should
actually be the Dockbar, and NOT the typical Notification. People are already
used to simply grabbing the main Taskbar and swiping down to bring up any
notifications. Swiping Down to bring up or close the Dockbar is awesome, this
is what got me using it :)

Please add a feature to disable all shortcuts. The reason for this is, when the
drawer is open, when I try to scroll horizontally, I always end up dragging an
icon to the homescreen instead of scrolling. This is really frustrating!
All you need to do is have a feature like so: Click on the options button on
the home screen to reveal the menu. Add an option, "Enter/Exit Configuration
Mode". When you are in the configuration mode, all the shortcuts are enabled.
So, you can rearrange the icons on the home screen, drag apps from the drawer
to the homescreen etc etc. But, when you have exited the configuration mode,
all the shortcuts are disabled, and all the icons & apps are "Locked" in their
respective places. Since all these are locked, the program will not have to
decide if you are dragging an app to the homescreen or scrolling left/right.
So, it will enable faster & more fluid interaction with the adw launcher.
Please bring this feature ASAP!!!
Thanks!

I want to implement mixing theme elements and extend the applicable settings
screen.
Overview:
AlmostNexusSettingsHelper.java defines the get<functions> for retrieving the
drawables from ALMOSTNEXUS_PREFERENCES sp. Theme icons for example are saved in
the themeIcons string. I'd like to extend the preferences with more granularity
by adding a "Custom" theme which can hold arbitrary elements and then be listed
in Available Themes similar to KDE's custom theme implementation (screenshot
attached).
Issues:
1.) Locating where theme shared prefs are set upon selecting a theme
2.) Expanding the theme selection to a sub menu with drop downs that are
populated from available resources
3.) Ideally a miniature launcher view that shows real-time update preview
4.) Save function that pulls the various elements and pushes to the respective
preference strings.
My main problem is finding where that's all located.

Please allow for placement of 1x1 (icon sized) widgets in the dock and action
buttons. Even if they're resized slightly.
Specifically, I'm requesting this for the purpose of using widgets such as
Gmail Unread Count and Text Unread Count to display the number of unread items
on top of the icon in the dock. I had this setup on my phone before I switched
to ADW (though dxTop) and it was very nice. With all the "unread count"
widgets, even the "toggle status" widgets, it would be great to be able to add
one or two of them to the dock.

I was wondering if it was possible to further customize how hiding icon text
works. I love how clean everything looks when the titles are hidden but it
sometimes makes it difficult to determine what some shortcuts are. Some
examples would be: webpage links on the homescreen, shortcuts to control panel
dialogs, folders and music playlists. Is there anyway we could hide titles for
apps but not the other stuff? Thanks for such a great piece of software thus
far!

I think that would be interesting make the new feature "app group" compatible
with the app Folder Organizer.
I have grouped my apps by labels in folder organizer. Could be possible that
app group recognize those labels. So we haven't to create new groups.
Apps like Titanium Backup have this feature with folder organizer.

Hey Anderweb, I'd first like to thank you for your time and effort that you put
into this project, with no cost to it's users!! Awesome work, great talent. I
have installed all the latest updates, however, this last one has made my
system operate at a very slow, laggy, and choppy pace. Moving through screens,
especially. I even recognize a difference in my keyboard. Not sure what that is
all about, but if you could clue me in on what's going on or perhaps fix it, I
would greatly appreciate it. Also, it takes FOREVER for my screen to orient
from portrait to landscape and vice versa...honestly, the original "screen
persistent" option was the best(when it was kept checked). It worked! Without
having to designate a layout option. Hope this wasn't too much for ya. Take it
easy.
Best!

im not sure if this should be filed under bug or feature request, but i have
several groups set up in my app drawer, and whenever a new app is installed, it
automatically shows up in all those groups. consequently, i have to go through

happen by default in my opinion, and at the very least should be toggleable via

1) I would request you to add more animations to the application drawer. For
example, you should be able to drag the drawer up to view the drawer & drag it
back down to reveal the homescreen. This, in my opinion, is more natural &
fluid than the current zoom animation. This type of animation already exists in
the X10 Mini homescreen & is the best animation in my opinion.
I wish I could attach something here, but you can see the animation in the X10
Mini homescreen on Youtube!

The new "app group" feature is spectacular. It would be great if we were on a
main screen and similar to adding a shortcut, add an app group to the main
screen. When you click on it, it could pop open like a folder on the desktop
currently does.
Steps required would be
1. settings -> add
2. custom shortcut
3. new entry for "app group" (or put it under the ADW Activities)
4. select pre-existing group
5. name it, pick icon
6. done.. appears on main screen

Not sure how useful this will be, but I was thinking if it's possible to add a
widget that would allow users launching applications by typing their full or
partial name. This idea is similar to start menu in Windows 7, where user types
in a search string and it finds all applications that fit search criteria.
A benefit of doing this would be removing the button to open up app drawer and
allowing user to add another application shortcut at the bottom of the screen.

Currently, to add multiple icons in the dockbar, I have to open the drawer,
open the dockbar, place icon on dockbar from drawer, close the dockbar, open
the drawer again, open the dockbar again, place another icon on dockbar from
drawer, etc..
To enhance this, I have two alternatives:
1) Don't close the drawer if dockbar is opened. This way, we won't need to
close and reopen the dockbar everytime. You'll have to close the dockbar if you
want to add icons to the homescreen. Make this optional to avoid protests. :P
2) Add something on top of the dockbar to launch the drawer, maybe in place of
the recycle bin, but not auto-hidden. This way, we can still launch the drawer
without having to close the dockbar. However, you'll need to make the launcher
as beautiful as possible. I'm not sure it will be pretty to add something
there. Maybe you can make this optional too.
