judasdns's Issues

Add rule match for a timeout condition

It would be useful to have the ability to perform a response modification or additional action if the DNS query times out.

Perhaps implementing some failover functionality would be useful here as well, such as the ability to force JudasDNS to retry the request against a different nameserver, etc. Requires a bit more thought on the use cases involved here.

Add log-to-file for all queries to the server

Having an appended log of queries/responses would be useful, perhaps in a CSV format.

Feature Request: NXDOMAIN

Awesome project! Testing it out one of the features I would love to see is a "ANY NXDOMAIN or failed response from the upstream servers gets this response"

How should I start this program?

Do I need to choose the file judasdns.js to run? It just finishes and closes quickly. Is it that I need config in config.json and package.json? Thank you.
