No function called?

Hi
Just installed a fresh Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (focal) with apache2 and php 7.4
installed picocms and pico-fotofolder through composer.
But if I use your example:
(% fotofolder ( %assets_url%/test %)
It just puts a:
(% fotofolder ( http://picotest/pico/assets/test %)
on the rendered website.
What do I miss with your plugin?
No errors in error.log of apache.

Broken on alpine:3.11 (docker)

HTTP 500 Error when changing to PHP 8

Opening documents/pages with an integrated fotofolder show http error 500 under PHP 8.0.
The same page running with php 7.4 works perfect. The rest of the installation stays unchanged.
