MacroFab, INC. EDA Part Libraries and usefull tools

This repository contains the tested and verified footprints for MacroFab's House Part List. Using these footprints will guarantee that the placement of the part is accurate and precise. It also contains useful tools and files to make generating valid manufacturing data easier. Also contains parts for other MacroFab related projects.

The MacroFab style guide for making footprints can be found on the [Part_Style_Guide repository] (https://github.com/MacroFab/MF_Part_Style_Guide). This style guide is designed to reduce problems in the assembly stage of the product.

MicroSD slot pad 10 is missing

I found that the footprint of MF_Connectors-MF-MICROSD.kicad_mod doesn't have pin 10. It's a typo in line 47. Correct line should be:
(pad 10 smd rect (at -0.7366 7.14756) (size 1.79832 1.39954) (layers F.Cu F.Paste F.Mask))

MF-REG-SOT235-3.3V-300mA missing M

MPN for MF-REG-SOT235-3.3V-300mA in the Eagle library is missing the leading M

MF_Eagle_Placement.ulp does not output Populate and MPN fields

The MF_Eagle_Placement.ulp script does not output the Populate and MPN fields necessary to fill the MPN field of the BOM. I have a quick fix to do this, and can submit a pull request if you want.

kiCAD footprints

Please provide KiCAD footprints for your house parts.

Created missing DipTrace PLCC4 footprint for MF house part RGB LED

EAGLE devices lose values during library updates or package changes.

Due to the blank Value attribute of the parts in the EAGLE libraries, part lose user assigned values when libraries are updated or packages are changed. Please refer to this Autodesk forum post for more information:

Eagle CAM 4 layer v7 missing copper 3

The CAM job Eagle/CAM/MF_4_Layer_V7.cam, section Middle Copper Layer 3 does not have layer 3 selected for output.

I am using Eagle 7.7.0 on Linux.

KiCad component value text on wrong layer

In the default KiCad footprint libraries the text of the component value is on layer F.Fab. In the macrofab libraries, the component value is on layer F.SilkS.

Often we don't want component values on the silkcreen...it gets way too busy. Putting the values on a separate layer (as is the default in the KiCad footprint libraries) makes it much easier to manage visibility. In my case, I discovered this after uploading my file to macrofab and had to manually change the layer on each component.

Eagle: Create missing pin for EFM8BB1

Pin P1.4 is missing in the symbol for device EFM8BB10F(2/4/8)G-A-QFN20 in the eagle library and needs to be added.

The numbering is off by one. P1 ranges from 0 to 6. The symbol includes Pin 1,2,3,5,6,7 instead.

KiCad Schematic Symbols

I see the footprints but will you provide the schematic symbols as well? I'd like to start a new design using your house parts. Thanks!
