In order to declare a type the GObject system requires to use 2 macro's. So for GwlRegistry this is:

G_DECLARE_DERIVABLE_TYPE(GwlRegistry, gwl_registry, GWL, REGISTRY, GObject)

The problem with this is that the macro G_DECLARE_TYPE expands to declare
GType gwl_registry_get_type() function. However, the meson build system makes the creates new symbols with the option 'hidden in the following code.

This results that gwl_registry_get_type() is not exported. Currently the solution is to make sure that the function is public. Since the first symbol expanded in G_DECLARE_DERIVABLE_TYPE(GwlRegistry, gwl_registry, GWL, REGISTRY, GObject)
is the namespacefoo_objectbar_get_type() function, you can get it exported by using GWL_PUBLIC befor using the G_DECLARE_TYPE macro's.

Currently one needs to call gwl_display_round_trip(display) in order to send requests to the wayland server and make sure that they are handled. It would be nice to attach the GwlDisplay instance to a glib mainloop, than when events arrive are available, that the mainloop will handle them automagically.

On some systems test/gwayland-test.c refuses to compile.

An instance of GwlDisplay contains a GwlRegistry, currently it is available via an accessor function, but it would be handy to get it via the GObject properties as well.

Currently the gwayland library lacks any form of documentation, but documentation is always useful.
