We used openly available eddy covariance measurements provided by the ICOS (https://www.icos-cp.eu/data-products/YVR0-4898) and FLUXNET2015 datasets (https://fluxnet.fluxdata.org/data/fluxnet2015-dataset/). The CMIP6 data were downloaded from https://esgf-data.dkrz.de/search/cmip6-dkrz/.
