Invoice Parser

Parse credit card invoices and generate some metrics from it. Currently, it only works with Sicredi invoices.

Tools

• NodeJS;
• Typescript;
• Express;
• React;

Running locally

Start backend

• Navigate to the backend folder;
• Rename the .env.example to .env;
• Run yarn to install the dependencies;
• Run yarn start to start the server;

Start frontend

• In another terminal, navigate to the frontend folder;
• Run yarn to install the dependencies;
• Run yarn start to start the app;
• Navigate to http://localhost:5564 and you should see the app running;

Create categories to use when analyzing data

In order to detect what kind of expense the row contains, and put it in the right category, we need to create a mechanism where we categorize the expense.

Create frontend

In order to display the data, we need a frontend that:

• Allows uploading an invoice;
• Shows the expenses in a table;
• Shows a pie chart with all the categories;
