prepare kubeadm.conf

output config file kubeadm.conf

kubeadm config print init-defaults > kubeadm.conf

modify advertiseAddress and imageRepository.

set advertiseAddress as server IP

set imageRepository as registry.aliyuncs.com/google_containers

set podSubnet under networking as 10.244.0.0/16

turn off swap

swapoff -a

disable swap after reboot, edit /etc/fstab and remove swap record

install kube cluster

kubeadm config images list --config kubeadm.conf
kubeadm config images pull --config kubeadm.conf
kubeadm init --config kubeadm.conf

get login ca

To start using your cluster, you need to run the following as a regular user:

mkdir -p $HOME/.kube
sudo cp -rf /etc/kubernetes/admin.conf $HOME/.kube/config
sudo chown $(id -u):$(id -g) $HOME/.kube/config

taint nodes

Execute blow command. If not, error 0/1 nodes are available: 1 node(s) had taints that the pod didn't tolerate. will appear when pods up

kubectl taint nodes --all node-role.kubernetes.io/master-

install cni

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/coreos/flannel/master/Documentation/kube-flannel.yml

replace quay.io/coreos with quay-mirror.qiniu.com/coreos in file kube-flannel.yml

kubectl apply -f kube-flannel.yml

clean kube cluster

kubeadm reset

if token is overtime, creat a token and get token name

kubeadm token create --print-join-command
kubeadm token list

print token value

openssl x509 -pubkey -in /etc/kubernetes/pki/ca.crt | openssl rsa -pubin -outform der 2>/dev/null | openssl dgst -sha256 -hex | sed 's/^.* //'

find debug infos

journalctl -u kubelet -f

install kubenetes-dashboard

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/dashboard/v1.10.1/src/deploy/recommended/kubernetes-dashboard.yaml

modify file kubernetes-dashboard.yaml, replace k8s.gcr.io with registry.aliyuncs.com/google_containers

kubectl apply -f kubernetes-dashboard.yaml

copy folder ~/.kube to local, run blow command

kubectl proxy

access dashboard URL

create a yaml file dashboard-admin.yaml

kubectl apply -f dashboard-admin.yaml

Bearer Token

kubectl -n kube-system describe secret $(kubectl -n kube-system get secret | grep admin-user | awk '{print $1}')

or

kubectl describe secret -n kube-system admin-user

login with the secret you get

http://localhost:8001/api/v1/namespaces/kube-system/services/https:kubernetes-dashboard:/proxy/

install betallb

Service type loadbalancer can not be used by baremetal. For result this problem, we need project betallb

To install MetalLB, simply apply the manifest:

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/google/metallb/v0.7.3/manifests/metallb.yaml

After creating the following ConfigMap, MetalLB takes ownership of one of the IP addresses in the pool and updates the loadBalancer IP field of the ingress-nginx Service accordingly.

apiVersion: v1
kind: ConfigMap
metadata:
  namespace: metallb-system
  name: config
data:
  config: |
    address-pools:
    - name: default
      protocol: layer2
      addresses:
      - 192.168.2.150-192.168.180

apply file metallb-conf.yaml

kubectl apply -f metallb-conf.yaml

install ingress

download mandatory.yaml and service-nodeport.yaml

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/ingress-nginx/master/deploy/static/mandatory.yaml
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/ingress-nginx/master/deploy/static/provider/baremetal/service-nodeport.yaml

change spec.type from NodePort to LoadBalancer

sed -i 's/NodePort/LoadBalancer/' service-nodeport.yaml

apply mandatory.yaml and service-nodeport.yaml

kubectl apply -f mandatory.yaml
kubectl apply -f service-nodeport.yaml

deploy nfs

create a namespace nfs-provisioner

kubectl create namespace nfs-provisioner

deit and apply NFS/kubernetes/deployment.yaml

update spec.template.spec.containers.args in deployment, replace example.com with what you want to fill.

update spec.template.spec.volumes.hostPath.path in deployment, fill it as your storage path.

apply file NFS/kubernetes/deployment.yaml

kubectl apply -f NFS/kubernetes/deployment.yaml -n nfs-provisioner

edit and apply NFS/kubernetes/rbac.yaml

update subjects.namespace in ClusterRoleBinding and RoleBinding, replace default with namespace nfs-provisioner

apply file NFS/kubernetes/rbac.yaml

kubectl apply -f NFS/kubernetes/rbac.yaml

others

change node max-pods

find config file to edit for change kubelet configs

systemctl cat kubelet

use vim to edit file /etc/systemd/system/kubelet.service.d/10-kubeadm.conf

add Environment="KUBELET_EXTRA_ARGS=--max-pods=220" after line Environment

reload daemon and restart kubelet for let kubelet new config effective

systemctl daemon-reload
systemctl restart kubelet

install helm

kubectl apply -f helm.yaml
helm init --upgrade -i registry.cn-hangzhou.aliyuncs.com/google_containers/tiller:v2.13.1 --service-account tiller

cert-manager

install

kubectl apply -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jetstack/cert-manager/release-0.6/deploy/manifests/00-crds.yaml
kubectl create namespace cert-manager
kubectl label namespace kube-system certmanager.k8s.io/disable-validation="true"
helm install --name cert-manager --namespace cert-manager --version v0.8.0 jetstack/cert-manager
kubectl apply -f cert-manager.yaml

delete cert-manager

helm del --purge cert-manager
kubectl delete -n cert-manager -f https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jetstack/cert-manager/release-0.6/deploy/manifests/00-crds.yaml
kubectl delete namespace cert-manager

monitor

install metrics and heapster addons

metrics

download yaml

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/kubernetes/kops/master/addons/metrics-server/v1.8.x.yaml

replace k8s.gcr.io with registry.aliyuncs.com/google_containers

apply yaml

kubectl apply -f v1.8.x.yaml

heapster

get yaml files from https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/tree/master/cluster/addons/cluster-monitoring to a folder

replace k8s.gcr.io with registry.aliyuncs.com/google_containers in those yaml files.

cd to the folder and execute kubectl apply -f .

more operation

if not do this, kubelet will not open port 10255 for read only api

modify /etc/systemd/system/kubelet.service.d/10-kubeadm.conf add --read-only-port=10255 after Environment="KUBELET_EXTRA_ARGS=

sudo vi /etc/systemd/system/kubelet.service.d/10-kubeadm.conf

make modify effect

sudo systemctl stop kubelet
sudo systemctl daemon-reload
sudo systemctl start kubelet
