Reset to default option about brightness

Hmm, indeed it is possible to provide a reset to default option in GUI. Question is, how will the user be able to use it conveniently.

I did this in v1. This can be implemented in v2 also. In v1, the command brightness-reset fixes everything. If your display is lost, open a terminal with ctrl+alt+t and run brightness-reset

A button would do. That's not something you want to hide under a menu.

Also, you could come up with a warning like in Android when we use headphone for setting brightness to zero. Or even disable / ask a conformation dialouge when brightness is set to zero to avoid unintended damages.

I mean, return to the state before things were meddled by this app. Someone might play with the settings, get a lot of things wrong, and find no way to correct it. In such cases, reset to default could undo all actions set using Brightness-Controller.

If you have accidentally set brightness to 0, you will not be able to control with GUI

@apandada1 - that's one case. But there are other cases where user will be able to see the display, but won't like to drag slides / do things manually to reset.

We can make an .desktop file for the command. The user clicks the icon --- the program is run. No GUI required.

Haha :) The point of Brightness Controller is to allow user do everything without switching from a single controller window. If user has to go to desktop, click an icon to reset - that will be 2-3 steps at least.

In short, a GUI element will be added to reset things to default. It is already partially there for color temperature.

What I am thinking about - is whether it should be a button or a file menu entry, or something else.
For a software as simple as it is, UX is still of great importance.

Now there is a clear default settings option in the menu, which serves this purpose after a restart of the program.
