The L&F should be affected by the theme you are using in Ubuntu. Unless you are sharing a screenshot, I won't have any idea what you are talking about.
Styles - example?

This is not Javascript so we cant make something completely according to our wish but still the sliders does not look good. Can it be forced to use a custom theme in any OS?
from brightness.
Haha, maybe it is possible. But I am more interested to give it the native look, which will change based on the OS.
For example, I see it like this. I won't want any other style being forced on the UI of Brightness Controller which is not native to my current theme.

@apandada1 Brightness styles depend on your current GTK theme.

Has there been any performance improvement in the brightness controlling part of v 2.0?
from brightness.
Didn't notice any improvement.
from brightness.
Lets broke v2 into two pieces.
- Brightness Controller
- Colour Controller
There is another way. The app will open as 300*150 sized Brightness Controller and will have Colour balancing menu in the settings. It will look simpler.

Brightness Controller will not be broken to two apps. Things are tightly integrated there.
I have the simple / advanced mode in to do list. But before doing that, I need to complete the advanced part 👯

@apandada1 , try this tool. Free, open source and available across versions. You might have trouble exporting it in image format (thanks to a pesky bug in Linux version).
Just attach prototype file in native file format after making what you have in mind. 👯
