configuration.nix's Issues

Implement Module System

Util functions should be accessible anywhere in dotfiles.nix via lib, lib.mine or mine.

Modules should contain minimum viable code for a given feature, to be activated by a host configuration.

Investigate Digga

Digga offers an abstraction to flake configs and already includes the inputs I am using. I should investigate it's merits and consider switching to a Digga powered config.

Explain the module system

In /README.org

  • Provide a tree structure
  • Describe how modules are toggled via host config
  • Describe how the host is determined

Add a Licence

Publish under an open source licence so people don't fall victim to the assumptions and abuses of copyright laws.
Possible licences:

  • MIT
  • Unlicence
  • GPL

Split config into modules

Modules should contain minimum viable code for a given feature, to be activated by a host configuration.

Create a Flake

  • Provide external access to modules
  • Build configurations directly from Github

Get Editing Using dotfiles.nix

Development will be much faster once I'm actually using NixOS. Configure the basic necessities for mutating my config then start switching devices over to NixOS. The lack of configuration will annoy me once I'm using this, driving committed development.
