protocols's Issues

Synchronized Sampling Packet (v2) Format

A couple of questions concerning the Synchronized Sampling Packet (v2) format, as documented here.

Which bytes of the packet are actually included in the payloadLen count? Throughout the Protocol, it seems that payloadLen is always a count of the bytes between payloadLen and checksum. But that doesn't seem to be true for the Synchronized Sampling Packet (v2).

In the packets I've examined (see included image from the SensorConnect), payloadLen is always 2 bytes less than what I expect. So, it seems that payloadLen does NOT include nodeRssi and baseRssi. Is that true?

Clip0

Also, sampleModeAndDataFormat doesn't seem to check out per the protocol documentation. Can you explain why the value 0E is being transmitted in the packets shown (Continuous mode, uint16 data)?

Thanks

Help with Basic Command

I am trying to communicate from a CompactRIO to a Serial BaseStation and in turn to a node. I have tried to assemble a basic ping command but got no response when I tried it. The command I sent in hex was:

AC04 0013 0900 0200 027F 7FF4 90F2 22

Do you have an example of a command I could send that should definitely get a response so I know that all of my hardware is setup correctly. Did I construct the command above correctly or did I miss something? I am not sure I did the checksum properly.

Sample SSP packets for RTD-LINK-200

Hi
Our KAM/WSI/104 supports acqusition from LORD sensors in Synchronous Sampling Mode. However we initially did not support non-16 bit samples. A customer has requested support for RTD-Link-200 which from the datasheet, supports 24 bit samples

So I would like to investigate the effort to support this sensor. It would be very useful if I had some example of the SSP packets generated by this sensor. I'm wondering if it's possible to get such a sample of these packets ? I only need a small capture.
