Can't sort the load order with the new update

Hi, as writed in the title the last up of LOOT is not working for me, this is the debug file:

LOOT leaves DLC plugins/esm unchecked in NMM since v0.10.1

Hello,
i've done a bit of research but all i could find was crash bug related, so i thought i might ask for your advice or let you know.
Since v0.10.1 (same with v0.10.2), after having sorted the plugins with LOOT the last four DLCs get unchecked in Nexus Mod Manager (and all the plugins having them as a master get orange of course), those are DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm & 03.esm & DLCNukaWorld.esm.
Loot sees them still as active plugins though, even if i close it and run it again leaving them unchecked.

After coming over here i took a look at my CEFDebugLog which says :
"Could not load cef_extensions.pak"
So i got it here on github and put it in the LOOT folder but same result with an empty CEFDebugLog.

So here are the debug logs from v0.10.2 without cef_extensions.pak installed :

I'm used to update LOOT (and BOSS before it) and i read changelogs and so on but i must have missed something here (hoping it's nothing too obvious, i'd hate to disturb you for something gone over a hundred times already like or stated in big red letters somewhere...).
I'm quiet happy using the v0.10 for now and i've got to thank you for all the support provided over the years, modding games would be a pain in the neck without you guys !

Error LOOTDebugLog.txt

I went through the installer, made sure everything was ticked and installed in fallout 4 folder. Loot launches after "installation is complete". I click sort plugins and when I click apply, the "Error LOOTDebugLog.txt" comes up and tells me to check the LOOTDebugLog.txt in the main menu. I thought that relaunching LOOT would do the trick and low and behold, LOOT didn't install at all even though I successfully went through the installer.

Masterlist order change request

My apologies for posting this here. I read the guidelines and honestly most of it sounded like a foreign language to me.

"Mechanist Lair Overhaul SEC.esp" should be sorted after "Scrap Everything - Ultimate Edition.esp" in the Fallout 4 masterlist.

I do not know how to edit the masterlist myself to test this or make the addition to the "pull requests" and such. I just noticed that consistently it will sort these plugins backwards and cause CTD or Graphic glitches and I manually resort them after after every run of LOOT. Thought you guys should know is all.

Only FO4 Master Showing Active; Issues Sorting (Alphabetical Order)

I actually have two issues, though only one I'm able to replicated. I had this issue the other night but was able to manage to get it work by making the load order and the plugins .txt files to read only and not, but I'm sure how to replicate the issue as I've tried multiple times. I've also made sure I have the most recent one, and have reinstalled it, twice actually.

The second issue though before this one is that when I'd have the mods sort, the non-ESM files would seem to be sorted in alphabetical order. I think there were a few that wasn't that way though, and as I recall, I think the ones that were set, were actually in the DLClist.txt, though I'm not entirely sure. In any case, this is what I got and I hope you can help as I'm wanting to hold off on playing until everything is set.

Oh damn it, I put it in the FO4 section, and I think this might be an issue with the actual LOOT program. Then again, I probably don't know so I'll leave that up to you guys to decide, as you all will be more informed.

loot not working...no connection?

new to this... tried many approaches to repair loot. read most of the bug logs and comments and tried them on my problem. nothing so now below is my latest buglog. and frankly...i don't get it.

Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch doesn't sort immediately after CC plugins

If I place Unofficial Fallout 4 Patch.esp after or before WhatsYourName.esl, AllSetsExtended.esl, ArmorKeywords.esm, and TrueStormsFO4.esm and sort, UFO4P will be placed after the two .esl files and before the two .esm ones (whether related to file extension or not). Neither WhatsYourName.esl or AllSetsExtended.esl have a group defined, so should be in the Default group, but UFO4P is in the "Fixes" group, which should be loaded almost immediately after CC content (only the texture overhaul group is loaded sooner).

Another quirk is that after sorting and then cancelling (rather than applying), the UFO4P is gone completely from the load order (but will reappear if sorting again, and disappear again if cancelling). Not sure if related or a separate issue yet.

I've also only tested with the 2.0.5 beta of the UFO4P, not with latest "stable" release of 2.0.4. Happens with both 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 (beta) of UFO4P.

Before sort, with UFO4P last in ESM-block:

Change license to Creative Commons Zero

I would like to relicense the Fallout 4 masterlist/repository to be under the Creative Commons Zero license (effectively submit it to the public domain). See loot/loot.github.io#61 for more thoughts on this.

Unknown Error

Caused when applying Sort Decision to LO's.

Error code: 1; libloadorder failed to set the load order. Details: "C:\Users\alonl\AppData\Local\Fallout4\plugins.txt" could not be written. Details: ios_base::badbit set: iostream stream error

loot can't download and/or update the masterlist

I'm using loot Version 0.12.3 (build bfd8ef0d) right now and i can't download a masterlist for fallout 4. I had this issue already with the previous version. With the previous version i had a masterlist and whenever i tried to sort the loadorder i got a errormessage which told me that i could check the LOOTDebugLog.txt, but that file was always empty. Today i updated to the newest version and now i have no masterlist and get again that errormessage, but this time there is some information in the LOOTDebugLog.txt.

I have a small problem with Loot. I get this message that says "An error occurred while trying to read information on the update masterlist. If this error happens again, try deleting the ".git" folder..." I tried deleting the git folder and I still get the message every time trying to update the master list. I believe it applies to Fallout 4 and not SSE.

Loot doesnt see any mods

I had Loot installed and it was working great. Then messed up my game and had to uninstall everything and when I reinstalled Loot, it sees Fallout 4 and the add ons but when i download a mod from nexus with Nexus Mod manager, it does not see the mods at all. After reading posts and troubleshooting, I looked at my ini files, ran as administrator,verified my game files on steam,someone said it was a missing C++ ,so I went to the site and downloaded what they suggested, I tried emptying the %localapp% thing. Im sorry If I dont know all the correct terms. Ive only been modding a short while. I did watch all of Gophers videos, some of them several times and read about issues and bugs, i just dont know what else to try.Im using windows 7, Steam is located in C/programs (x86) , and Nexus and 7-zip are on C\games if that makes a difference. the first time i used winzip the second i used 7-zip. Im not sure if i correctly unpacked the zip files, i wasnt sure which one of the files to use except the two that were tar.xz where the instructions said dont use with windows. Im sorry i put in so much info I wanted to provide enough to descibe problem.

LOOT suddenly refused to function after installing Creation Club assets, Wrye Bash, several additional mods

Apologies for the enormous variety of mods - And the tastelessness of some of them - But the plugins.txt file is indeed not read-only(Empty tickbox) and I'm at my wit's end. I'm assuming it's one or more of the creation club assets, or having recently installed Wrye Bash - This has happened before, and I've had to literally 'nuke and pave' to get it working again - but it happens so rarely that I was hoping it wouldn't this time.

Stopped working couple of days ago.
Got it working to this point:

Warning from LOOT window:

An error occurred while parsing the metadata list(s): yaml-cpp: error at line 319, column 24: illegal map value.
Try updating your masterlist to resolve the error. If the error is with your user metadata, this probably happened because an update to LOOT changed its metadata syntax support. Your user metadata will have to be updated manually.
To do so, use the 'Open Debug Log Location' in LOOT's main menu to open its data folder, then open your 'userlist.yaml' file in the relevant game folder. You can then edit the metadata it contains with reference to the documentation, which is accessible through LOOT's main menu.
You can also seek support on LOOT's forum thread, which is linked to on LOOT's website.

Just like to know how/where to continue from this point.

An error occured while parsing the masterlist

I have this red box error when using loot that says:

"An error occurred while parsing the masterlist: yaml-cpp: error at line 11, column 9: bad conversion: 'str' key missing from 'message content' object. This probably happened because an update to LOOT changed its metadata syntax support. Try updating your masterlist to resolve the error."

Even after deleting LOOT along with my user settings and doing a fresh install from the newest repo, I still have this error.

Suggestions?

MO2 and LOOT: LOOT Now Disables FO4 and all DLC .esm Files with MO2

I play Fallout 4 with the season pass/all DLC and use Mod Organizer 2 for my mod manager. I use MO2 and launch the game with F4SE in MO2. I always update LOOT as soon as I see a new version was released and the last 2 or 3 versions of LOOT cause problems with MO2. Every single time I sort my load order with LOOT and go back to MO2, it has sorted my load order but it automatically disables the Fallout and DLC .esp and .esm files at the top. I have to manually enable them every time. But for some reason, when I then launch Fallout 4, it still says those files are disabled. I try to load my last save in Fallout 4 and get the error message saying that the files are missing "Fallout4.esm, DLCCoast.esm, DLCNukaWorld.esm, DLCRobot.esm, DLCworkshop01.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm are missing, even though I enabled them in MO2 before launching the game through F4SE. Basically, any of the plugins at the top in bold italics are missing/disabled. I never had this problem with older versions of LOOT and don't know why it started happening after the last two or three updates of LOOT. If you could please fix this so I can use MO2, LOOT, and F4SE again, I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you.

If anyone knows where I can download older versions of LOOT, please let me know!

Low global_priority for broad texture overhauls

Mods such as Optimized Vanilla Textures and FAR consist of "empty" plugins that are there just to facilitate loading .ba2 archives. I kind of want to give these mods (at least OVT) very low global_priority, maybe even to the tune of something like -110, putting them after official DLC plugins, but before (unofficial) patches (see Global Priorities, to make sure more specific textures from smaller mods override these more wide reaching ones.

I wanted to try and get some feedback first though, before I start putting mods in such a low global priority "group". So any thoughts? Is this a silly idea?

Not a programmer, but reporting UDR on Rad-Ban Eyewear Armorsmith patch 1.01

I'm sure that I'm not putting this together correctly or even if I'm supposed to report this here but here goes.

The Armorsmith Eyewear Mod patch version 1.01 dated 11:10, 19 April 2016 for Rad-Ban Eyewear Inc.
http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8342/? has one undeleted reference at 002456ED .

Confirmed using xEdit 3.2's Undelete and Disable References script. I'm not sure how you're calculating crc's so I'm not providing one.

I'm not sure that this matters, but there have been reports of crashing while using that plugin. I had that issue and cleaning the esp allowed the game to load.

Error in Loot

I get the following error in LOOT when I click on the sort button. I've removed and re-downloaded all the mods but still continue to get the error. I am running LOOT outside of the mod organizer.

Darker Nights should be sorted after patched plugins since 1.11

There is a circular dependency right now because since version 1.11 plugin DarkerNights.esp may contain merged patches, i.e. it may have TrueStormsFO4.esp as a master now. The quickest solution is to remove ANY DarkerNights.esp master list entries.

Is it possible to add a general rule to sort DarkerNights.esp after all weather mods except plugins which have DarkerNights.esp as a master (standalone patches)?

I am the original submitter of the pull request #3 and I can prepare another pull request when I set up my GitHub again and when you decide on how to proceed. Thank you

Settings not updating or detecting Fallout 4

Version 0.12.0

After uninstalling 11.0 of Loot, and deleting the folder in the appdata, I installed 0.12.0 and noticed that it only detected Skyrim Special edition, and not Fallout 4. So I went into settings and manually inputted the installation path for Fallout 4, however, this did not work. The Settings do not stay when the program is exited, and Fallout 4 isnt selectable.

Steps I have tried:
Making the Appdata folder for loot NOT Read-only
Running loot Via NMM
Converting 11.0 Yaml file to work with 0.12.0 's new settings file format using online converter.

EDIT: The issue seems to of resolved itself when Debug Logging was enabled. However, Disabling the logging creates the problem again.

Loot Cant detect Plugins For Fallout 4

So this is the first time i use LOOT,when i open it, LOOT just detect my base game and DLC .esm and not detect any of my mod plugin(its usually have .esp extension)
i use NMM for modding, so i try to move all of my mod to base game install path and reinstall it, but LOOT still dont detect all of my mod

I think there's a potential issue with the condition here https://github.com/loot/fallout4/blob/v0.10/masterlist.yaml#L2325 but I don't know what it is as at first glance it seems to make sense.

As can be seen in the following screenshot, even though I have a plugin active which seems to match the regular expression, I still get the warning:

I included the relevant part of the masterlist in the screenshot to show that it is indeed up to date.

There's a chance that the issue comes from loading LOOT from within a slightly dodgy Mod Organizer build, but I suspect that that's unrelated as the file shows up just fine in the plugins list.

Error Oh No Something Went Wrong

I updated loot today and now when I try to run loot for Fallout 4, NV or Skyrim it says no masterlist present. When I try to update masterlist or sort my load order it says something went wrong.

"An error occurred while trying to clone the remote masterlist repository.: libgit2 error"

As title states; I get this error whenever I try to update the masterlist for any games in LOOT. Used to work and seems like all of a sudden I am having issues. Tried past suggestions related to deleting Fallout 4 (for example) folder under LOOT in local appdata, running as administrator, reinstalling in different location, etc.. nothing changes :-/ Attached Debug Log for reference, CEFDebugLog also has one line which reads "ERROR:main_delegate.cc(752)] Could not load cef_extensions.pak" if that is relevant. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Out-of-date warning on AWKCR's CBBE patch

The LOOT functionality in Vortex is giving me an incorrect "Some mod dependencies are not filled" warning about how "Armor and Weapon Keywords Community Resource v5.0 - CBBE Patch v2 vv5.0 requires Armor and Weapon Keywords Community Resource v7.9 v*"

Actually . AWKCR has been updated to version 8.3, while its CBBE patch remains unchanged at v2/v5.0. It seems there are a number of AWKCR users who have to use older versions of the mob for compatibility reasons (players without all the DLC). I can't say as I know the earliest version that the CBBE patch can work with, but I suspect that ti's actually lower than 7.9. Most users want to update to 8.3, there's no reason for Vortex/LOOT to be prodding users to downgrade to an older version of the mod.

Add LAST.esp and FIRST.esp for easy sorting.

The idea here would be to add certain names for easy sorting for user made additional patches.
For example a user creates a patch to improve compatibility of the mods he uses.
However depending on how many mods are not recognized by LOOT putting it dead first or dead last may be difficult.

My suggestion would be to add certain names that can be used to easily enforce placement for such user patches.

Such as LAST.esp and FIRST.esp

For my understanding this is possible to do via useradded meta data but may require adding meta data to every unrecognized mod.

(If I am wrong in this just close this issue.)

okay, here goes. latest loot 10.2, up to date fallout4 with DLCs. loot was previously working. now i'm getting "[0104/150045:ERROR:main_delegate.cc(752)] Could not load cef_extensions.pak" nothing is 'read only', i've uninstalled and reinstalled + reset. plus delteing the %username app data% loot loads fine, crashes on sort.

tried installing both in the fallout directory (D:) and the default C:\ (always with uninstall procedures followed - deleteing %user app% resetting etc..

Whenever I sort my plugins in LOOT for Fallout 4 and click apply, an error text will prompt up saying "Error

Always put new mods in the last

I don't know why is doing this put I see theres someone with the same problem and I think can be the update of the mods and the new ones

Loot does not see FO4

Hello friends. I am new to loot and github, I don't even understand what github is.
Okay, I hadn't played fo4 in about 5 months, but I did not uninstall it, or move it, or anything, and I did not touch loot or NMM, and now I open Loot, and FO4 is not even an option I can choose.
