[Feature] Reboot based on ping result

I am currently facing an issue with repeater mode, running Firmware:3004.388.4 koolcenter mod of merlin fw on RT_AX86U.
When master/router RT_AX86U rebooted, the slave/repeater RT_AX86U always show wrong password connecting to master. Then I need to reboot the slave/repeater RT_AX86U manually to recover the connection.

So maybe a plugin in slave/repeater RT_AX86U to periodically (1ce per x0 secs) ping the master/router RT_AX86U can help.
If the ping failed consecutively for x1 times with in x2 secs, then reboot the router.
After the reboot, delay the start of this process for x3 secs (to wait for pre-ism checking of 5G and establishing initial connection to master/router RT_AX86U).

As the above proposed feature is quite close to what this plugin does currently, is it possible to add such new feature or alternatively can you guide me how to setup the build & test environment for current plugin as a reference, so that I can start from current one 1st then add such feature in.
