Welcome! Bot-Topia is an addon that allows you to build bots, craft parts and add them to your bot. You can even craft Bot Chips to program your bots to do jobs for you.This is my first addon and is a work in progress. Enjoy!

Known Bug

When you install Bot-Topia there may be a warning in Minecraft that says missing dependencies. This a bug in Minecraft and is safe to ignore. It just means that Minecraft doesn't think the behavior pack and resource pack are connected to each other. So Minecraft will not automatically apply the resource pack. When you add Bot-Topia behavior pack to a world also check that the resource pack is active and you are all good to go.

Child controls must have unique names.

Guard Bot Ignoring Stay Order

Describe the bug
The bug is thus: that the guard bot, after being told to "stay", will ignore said order after an indeterminate amount of time as a result of unknown stimuli.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Set guard bot as "stay."
2. Walk away about 7-12 chunks or so and wait for around 8-12 minutes.
3. Unknown stimuli.
4. Guard bot teleports to you in "follow" state.

Expected behavior
What's supposed to happen is that the guard bot, after being told to "stay," should stay where it's put, presumably wandering to engage hostile mobs as they enter it's attack radius.

Additional context
It is possible that, by engaging hostile mobs, its sit order is repealed when the bot owner is a sufficient distance away while still in entity render distance. Further testing required.

Kindly note it the main developer of this add-on can no where to been seen!!... So this is un-updated . Hope you understand [this add-on does not support 1.17.x or 1.18.x]

Picking up Bots does not give your chip back

Describe the bug
when you first enter a world and place bots you can pick them up and you get your chip back. If you leave the world and come back then try to pick up a bot, it doesn't give you the chip back.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Load up a world and place down a bot and give it a chip
2. Crouch click to pick up the bot
3. You get the Bot back and a chip
4. place the bot down and give it a chip again
5. save and quit
6. reload the world
7. Crouch click to pick up the bot
8. You get the bot back but no chip this time

Expected behavior
While crouch clicking a bot to pick it up the bot should drop a bot item and a chip item.

Hopper bot did not do their job

Why?

bots wont take chip and bot-topia help tab is not appearing in settings

i am not understanding how to assign the bots their roles when i put the chip in their inventory they dont do nothing but look at me stupid :p ive also tried throwing it at them and using the interact button but it opens their inventory

the chips i am attempting to use are the guard, miner, and farmer none are working and i do have farmland and seeds in the farmers inventory i am also using an xbox one hope this helps and thanks in advance

So this plugin was working but doesn't work since last update or few lasts updates.

There is weird bug happening to many addons that for some reason there occurs error that spawns "item.spawn_egg.name" which is just an spawn egg that does nothing. And it happens everytime you right click the "bot" even with redstone, then it's gone and "item.spawn_egg.name" appears (some egg).

I searched through https://feedback.minecraft.net/hc/en-us/sections/360001186971-Release-Changelogs and found this:

For behavior packs using version 1.19.80 and above, recipes no longer accept a Molang query for the item's data field, instead use the item's full name, eg. use { "item": "namespace:actor_spawn_egg" } instead of { "item": "spawn_egg", "data": "query.get_actor_info_id('namespace:actor')" }

I actually wanted to fix it myself but I failed to learn addons making, it is too much knowledge and it's all really badly explained everywhere, there is no every single detail step by step tutorials and I don't really know any coding language yet at all but I know basic concepts.

Bot crafting table

Because you designed the crafting table as an egg to spawn it can only be used in creative change the code to make it an actual block not a spawn egg it would be really fun to play in full survival 😀
