The purpose of this project was to try out llama index to create an NBA Knowledge Base.
This experiment was limited to one team (Chicago Bulls - All Seasons), but can be run for multiple teams.
In this project data is extracted from wikipedia articles using the Wikipedia module, tables are also extracted using Beautiful Soup. The data obtained is then stored in JSON files and uploaded to a vector database in order to return information from the data using an LLM.
The two functions currently only work for certain articles. Due to varied formatting and information between articles it only returns information that matches the current formats.
Files read are limited due to incorrect JSON format
The current code only returns Draft Picks and Roster.
