My wife and I used your app exclusively for this years festival. We really liked it!
If you don't mind, I have some suggestions for future updates:

• possibility to enlarge the artists picture (pinch to zoom) – my wife constantly took screenshots of the artist view to be able to more closely look at the artists pictures
• it would be super useful, if the map of the location could be enhanced (zoomed in)
• instead of Apple Maps it might be better to use OpenStreetMap because the map material for such a small town is much better
• maybe there could be a way to share with someone else what event we are at? We met a friend there and I was constantly copying location names and artist names into SMS – it has to be rather low-tech, since no data connection was possible during the day (sending SMS or calling was fine though): Example: "We are here: [Artist Name], [Location], [Event start time]"

To make it easier to distinguish between past and future for festival visitors.

This allows visitors who are only allowed to enter the inner city to only see the relevant content for them.

Currently the view is always starting in the middle.

• Remove unused Views
• Remove commented code

In the official app, the artist page looks more compact. In this app, you need to scroll a lot more to see all relevant content. Especially the links to YouTube etc. are a bit hidden because of that. So this page should be redesigned.

Currently, this can be changed in the iPhone settings, but most people probably don't know that feature.
So there should be either an option to change it in the app or a hint (with link) that this is possible in the iPhone settings.

If you click on an artist in the "favorites" list and then remove the hearts from the artist, the artist disappears from the favorites list, which causes the detail view to close. This is a weird behavior for the user.

This includes the artist detail page and the stage detail page.

Some visitors might want to see the artists from last year, especially in combination with their ratings.

Design is still unclear.

Where this should and shouldn't be done, needs to be evaluated.

E.g. rules like

• What kind of drinks can I bring and how much?
• Am I allowed to cook on the campsite?

Sometimes, the news contains special characters that are not decoded correctly. This should be fixed.!

Right now, in the "optimal" schedule view, the concerts are scheduled for the whole festival. However, not all concert visitors stay for the whole festival. For example, some don't arrive until Friday and some other leave early on Sunday already. For those visitors, the "optimal" scheduling doesn't really work properly.

This could be solved by adding a setting where you can set the arrival and departure time.

Maybe like in Telegram / WhatsApp, where you first see a small preview and clicking it opens a full size artist image with zooming capabilities.

Depending on how you use the notes for the artists, it might be useful to see the notes directly in the schedule too. Of course, you cannot add a lot of text to the little boxes, so something else needs to be designed to it. Maybe just an icon that you can click and opens a popup would be enough.

Like in Apple Music, where the song is highlighted when you click the "go to album" button.

This still needs to be evaluated. First ideas:

The columns in the table schedule view should snap when scrolling left and right.

Data speed is very limited during the festival, so sometimes you want to share things like that in a very compact way via text message.
This can be done in two ways:

• A human readable short text
• A very compact link that opens the app. Something like "rudfes:a/123" or "rudfes:e/38"

This button could also be the navigation bar title. In that case, that should be explained in the intro for new users.

If you have an iPad and an iPhone, it would be convenient if the UserSettings were shared between the devices. Maybe iCloud could be used.

Also, it might be good to add a backup feature, which could also be used to share the data with other people.

This could include:

• Community notes for corrections of the festival program (like Community Notes on Twitter)
• Adding and approving additional locations, like
  • Toilets
  • Food stands
  • Shops
• Sharing schedule with friends
