Hello! Can you please use interfaces instead of classes. Because for now I have to override some of your classes to implement my own logic.
for example here

public function insertUpdate(Item $item)

and in other places.

$item = [
    'id'=>'123',
    'name'=>'item#1',
    'quantity'=>'1',
    'price'=>'10',
    'tax'=>'7',
    'weight'=>'0',
];
$identifier = md5( '123'.serialize( array() ) );
$item = Basket::item($identifier);
$item->tax = 0; // or $item->update('tax',0);
echo $item->total(); // outputs: 10.7, instead of: 10
