Week 1 - 2

The project will be to build a web page that displays a random article from The Financial Times. You may use our Developer APIs to achieve this.

Provide a search box for users to search for headlines containing specific words (i.e. searching for "brexit" should return a list of brexit-related headlines).

The site will ultimately be built to have the look and feel of FT.com (using Origami, being responsive, etc) but for this week we can focus on:

• building the base repository using node, express
• creating a GET route for the home page
• creating the form on the client, no styles needed

------ A2

• having the form submit to the server
• having the server receive the request (search term) and console.log it on the server side

------ A3

• creating a README about what the app does. You could also add a section on your progress, what you did each week, things you learned, etc. Could also point to separate files

If we cover that and there's still time before our next session, we could add:

------ A4

• having the sever call the FT Developer API with the search term
• receive the response from the API (the search results)
• send those back to the client in raw form (JSON)
