I think it should be possible to have it with VS 2010 but with 2008 I think it would be more difficult.

@swarkentin If I create a version for VS2010 would you be able to test it? Cause I don't have anymore a version of VS2010 available to me
from gitdiffmargin.
Sure. I can test it on VS2010.

@swarkentin Ok I will provide you a version as soon as I can work on that
from gitdiffmargin.
Ok, sounds good.

If its still relevant, this is something that I've been looking for for a while. If it would help I'd be happy to help with the testing
from gitdiffmargin.
I had a look at it. My crurent issue is that for developing it I need to install vs10 to be able to install the SDK.

Understood. If you don't mind, I would like to speak to some of my friends, and maybe we can fork and make the changes
from gitdiffmargin.
@Slowking770 That would be just awesome!
from gitdiffmargin.
At this point 6ecbc67 it compiles and works, but at 1.2.1
level. Meaning it doesn't update live.
I had to set it at 1.2.1
because of the bug with crlf file endings.
I am working on adding the commits leading up to ~1.3.0 one by one to try and find the problem.
The files compiled with vs2010 haven't been tested to see if they can be installed to vs2012, because I don't have a copy...
from gitdiffmargin.
Fantastic! Some crlf bugs are fixed in 1.3.1, but still investigating some others. Could you provide the binary, I will test it with vs12 and vs13.
from gitdiffmargin.
I've pushed the binaries to my fork just now.
Just to elaborate, the problem i was having was the same problem that most files where showing up as all modified -and this was when using a fork of 1.3.1
from gitdiffmargin.
Better create a draft release on your github fork and attach to it the vsx generated by a release build in vs10 so that I can directly install it. Thanks Like I did here
from gitdiffmargin.
Done (I think..)
Tell me if not, but I might not be able to reply until tomorrow
from gitdiffmargin.
@M-Zuber I expected to have it here https://github.com/M-Zuber/GitDiffMargin/releases and cannot find it!

Sorry, I am new to the release function of github, and pressed on the wrong button.
It should be set now

I decided to no support VS2010 nor VS2008, but it will be easier starting with the version 2.0.0 to add support for previous versions to anyone which want to add it.
Starting with 2.0.0 I will have one project per version Visual Studio versions supported so one for VS2013 and another for VS2012, and leverage file links, so it should be easy to add support to older versions.
