MERN Stack Authentication App

This is a MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js) stack application with JWT authentication and Google login. It features email confirmation using Nodemailer for registered users. Only authenticated users can access the app and the dashboard. The app is styled using Tailwind CSS.

Getting Started

Follow these instructions to get your MERN stack app up and running.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have the following installed:

• Node.js (v14 or higher)
• MongoDB

Installation

1. Clone the repository:

   git clone https://github.com/lateefibrahim01/my-mern-auth.git

2. Navigate to the project directory: cd my-mern-auth

3. Install server dependencies: cd server npm install

4. Install client dependencies: cd client npm install

Configuration

Before running the app, change the .env.sample to .env and add your credentials

Usage

1. Start the server: cd server npm start
2. Start the client: cd client npm start
3. Open your browser and visit http://localhost:3000 to access the app.

To deploy this app to a production environment, please refer to the deployment documentation for your chosen hosting platform.
