fvtt-change-log's Issues

[FEATURE] Colour Messages

Describe your idea
Add option to colour chat messages, perhaps based on type or user. Type will need an extension of the properties object for each system.

[FEATURE] Export/Import Settings

It would be a great addition if it was possible to export/import the settings for what is tracked. I run multiple games, and if I want to change what is tracked, it's sometimes hard to find the settings again in each game.

Thanks for the incredible module.

[FEATURE] Log creating / deleting Items

Describe your idea
Would it be possible in the future to log the creation or deletion of items for an actor?
Like the actor gets a new item or looses it.

Maybe I'm blind but I think I didn't see that option.

[FEATURE] Add Sanity/Honor for DnD5e?

Hi, great module, but it lacks support for the DnD5e optional Ability Scores, like Sanity. These are optional but supported by the DnD5e system by default, so it would be great if your module supported them as well!

[BUG] Derived Properties Do Not Trigger preUpdate

Describe the bug
Derived properties, for example, actor.isEncumbered, do not trigger a preUpdate and are instead updated directly. The solution to resolve may be to list the derived properties, so that a separate check is made whenever an update occurs to check whether any derived properties have also changed.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Select the Encumbered property.
  2. Update an item's weight to make them encumbered.
  3. The Encumbered change is not logged.

[FEATURE] Show the difference in the change

Right now when a value changes (such as hit points), your module will show the original amount and the new amount. So if someone takes 5 points of damage, it might show 80 > 75. This is generally fine, but I do run into an awful lot of scenarios where damage automation goes wrong, maybe there's a bug, maybe a spell is configured wrong, maybe a player forgot to unselect their targets from last turn, and now suddenly 15 characters took damage that weren't supposed to. In a situation like that, it would really help me to see what the difference in value was, so that I can, at a glance, tell if any character took half or double damage from damage resistances/vulnerabilities, or what have you.

I'm wondering if it would be possible to change the output to include this number, so for instance, in the above scenario, the output might say: 80 > -5 > 75 or something to that effect.

[FEATURE] warlock spell slots

Describe your idea
No options to track warlock spells slots. Changing of it does not emit new message.

Versions

  • Change Log: [e.g. 1.0.0]
  • System: [e.g. dnd5e 2.0.0]
  • Foundry VTT: [e.g. 11.305]

Additional context
Logging to separate chat/window is great feature too).
upd: You can use existing module for chat: https://foundryvtt.com/packages/chat-tabs
You just need to set type of log messages
