ghc-scholarships's Issues

Scholarships for 2017

Are you gonna update this with scholarships for this year? It seems scholarships by GHC themselves have already closed.

Walmart x GWC Scholarship + Formatting

It seems that I don't have permission to create a new branch, so putting some proposed changes below. These are to a) fix formatting for the Anita B entry and to b) add a new entry for a scholarship sponsored by Walmart and Girls Who Code. Unfortunately there isn't a lot of information on eligibility for the Walmart scholarship; it was sent in the GWC Alumni Newsletter, so unclear as to whether it is open to graduate students or high school students as well.

| Anita B Aspiring Technologist Scholarship| -- | Friday, June 12th, 5:00pm PDT | Undergraduate

The Bootcamp is scheduled to start at 10am on Tuesday, October 1. e) Be a first-time attendee of GHC, f) Be seeking internships and/or entry-level position during GHC19 | Anita B is offering 14 Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC) funded participation packages to aspiring technologists from the NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Community. All program participants will be flown to Orlando before the formal start of GHC so they can participate in an Aspiring Technologists Bootcamp. The Bootcamp will familiarize participants with GHC and prepare them to find internships or entry-level positions with sponsoring companies. |

NetApp entry: incorrect student status

Hi!

Thanks for all you do.

The only thing wrong with the NetApp entry is that it says “undergrad”. All degree seeking students at a 4 year college or university can apply.

Thanks!

[RFC] Pooling diversity resources

Hi @freialobo,
I curate and maintain a Diversity-Index of grants, scholarships and FA that encourages diversity in STEM fields aimed at half the world's population, Women at http://svaksha.github.io/diversity-index
I had listed the GHC event but after I saw your GHC scholarship repo, I wanted to ask if you would like to collaborate and submit a PR. It would be nice to collaborate so that people can find resources easily.
Thanks, Svaksha.

Is Twitter sponsorship only for Under-grads?

I could not create a pull request.

In Twitter's Scholarship description, it is mentioned that the students enrolled in two year graduate program

"Full-time student completing your undergraduate study in 2019 or 2020 at a two or four year university/college or graduate program."

I just wanna make sure if a graduate student is qualified for Twitter's GHC scholarship, though its pretty late.
