Select's are different from other expressions. But you can simply do something like this:

// `as const` is required. It tells typescript to keep the actual string literal types.
const userSelections = ["user.userID AS ID", "user.username as UserName"] as const;

return SQL.DB.selectFrom("user")
  .where("user.userID", "=", UserID) // this will vary
  .select(userSelections)
  .executeTakeFirst();
