I have implemented pagerank algorithm which is the first algorithm used by Google to rank websites on its search engine

Pagerrank basically ranks the websites based on number of popular links that website is connected to. It means that based on percentage/probability that a random surfer will come to that website, that website is ranked.

There are actually two methods using which I have implemented:

  • iterative method It means iterated or calculated the percentage that random surfer come on that website untill some error is removed
  • sampling method It means create samples of data using current state and transition model and calculate probabilites/rank of website using those samples
